Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our math and science teams are celebrating Pi Day with our school! We will invite students and their families to our mulit-purpose room to try out some number pi activites, such as "Cutting Pi" and "Slicing Pizza." We will also have a pi digit contest, where students can try and recite as many memorized Pi digits in the correct order as possible.

Students and their families will learn together about the thrilling nature of the never-ending number pi!

To help create memeories and an exciting night, we are asking for donations for contestr prizes, such as pie snacks. Also, we are asking for jars and candy for the estimation station. Finally, pi day gifts for everyone who attends the evening event - Pi pencils and temporary tattoos.

And a parting pi joke: What did pi say when someone asked if it could explain what Pi Day was again? "I don't want to repeat myself."
