Time sure does fly when you're having fun in kindergarten! I am excited to begin the second half of the school year! I have an amazing group of students who come to school eager and ready to learn each day.
Specifically, my school is a public Title I school that has a diverse population of military and non-military families.
My students are special because they are caring, respectful, hardworking, and have a willingness to learn each day. Our classroom is filled with a variety of learning experiences that includes STEM, technology-based learning, small group, as well as individualized instruction. It is my goal to meet with each of my students on a daily basis to check in with their learning goals.
As their teacher, I strive to create a classroom environment that is organized, warm and inviting so my students can learn, work, and grow together. As we work towards the end of the school year, I want to continue to provide them with rich learning experiences that will ensure they are prepared and ready for first grade. Thank you all for supporting the needs of my students!
I have been teaching for almost 9 years and although I have learned a lot over the years, I am ready to expand my knowledge an experience base to pick up some new tricks of the trade from the best! Occasionally, teachers get into a rut where they are trying the same old things over and over with little to no success. I do not want to fall into that routine. Through the, I Teach K Conference I will have the opportunity to collaborate, learn, discuss and network. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to help me rebuild my bag of tools to ensure that I am teaching at the highest level for my students!
It is my goal to empower, engage, motivate an ignite a fire of learning under my students!
By attending the National Conference in Las Vegas I will be able to build a classroom that is rigorous, challenging an engaging for my amazing students! It is my goal to come back with dynamic and engaging lessons to capture my students and have them engaged in learning activities that will allow them to exceed their educational goals. Specifically, I will come back with new literacy strategies to support phonics and reading strategies to support my kindergarteners. It is my goal to learn new strategies to help my students will reading comprehension and sight word retention as well. Building a strong literacy foundation in kindergarten is essential to future success!
I want to be able to teach like it's my last day and this conference will allow me to accomplish this great task! Please consider supporting me as I empower, educate and motivate the future!
