My students need packages of loose leaf paper and pencils because they are beginning to run low on these basic supplies. I also need a progress tracker for each class.

My Students

Students begin the school year with paper and pencils, but they run low on basic supplies in the middle of the year. They are able to "purchase" basic supplies from me with their classroom "dollars," but I need to replenish my stock. Students also begin to run low on motivation. Solution? Trackers!

My students are 7th grade math students with brilliant, young minds and unbounded potential.

However, 85% of them are impoverished, which makes it difficult for them to afford basic school supplies, especially in the middle of the year. In addition, the middle of the year brings head colds, darker days, and tired kids--a combination that begins to flag students' motivation to work hard. I plan to track my students' academic progress on star charts to spur them on toward our classroom goals.

My Project

These supplies will ensure that my students have the essential supplies that they need to learn each day. Pencils and paper will ensure that they can take their notes, participate in class activities, and complete their assignments. The star charts will help them see their personal progress and fruits of their work.

My students are in great need of these supplies.
