This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a mixed group of students at an inner city school. We do not have much in our budget for supplies, which means I must spend a lot of my own money in order for my students to get the most out of their education. Many of my students come from low income households and it is difficult for them to buy the necessary supplies they need for school. My students are hard working, and just want to succeed!

My Project

Headphones will allow my students to successfully use their computer intervention programs in the classroom. They will help students stay focused, and will limit distractions in the classroom.

In my classroom, I have students that are on many different levels for reading and math.

This means that students are not always working on the same thing at the same time. We are fortunate in my school to have multiple different computer programs that meet the needs of my learners. Since students are working on many different things at a time, the use of headphones is essential to help them succeed.
