My students need videos of my smartboard lessons to help them at home. This device will help me create the videos that go with our daily lessons so they can get the help they need.

My Students

My students are participating in a gifted program within our school. My school serves 900 students and has a high percentage of students receiving free and reduced price lunch. We also house many special programs. One of the many programs in my school is this gifted program. This program has around 300 students in grades 6-8. I teach about 155 of these students in grades 6-8.

Many of my students enjoy learning math and look forward to learning new material.

They are inquisitive, hard working and are always looking for new challenges, but they sometimes need extra help to learn material.

My Project

All students need a little bit of math help sometimes. With this surface pro, I can connect to my smartboard and record videos while I am going through a lesson. I can also open up the smart notebook software and use the pen to record the math lessons I create. These lessons can be uploaded to my website so kids can get the extra help they need at home. It would be nice to have these resources for not only my students, but the other students in my school.

Since everyone needs a little bit of help sometimes, the over 900 kids in my school will be able to utilize these videos for the extra support in math.

A little bit of help can go a long way in a child's education.
