My Project

Third graders in our state must pass the ELA portion of the state test in order to move on to 4th grade. Many of our students struggle with comprehension skills, simply because they don't understand how to take the tests.

Comprehension cards and practice guides will improve my students understanding of what they are reading, as well as help them learn important test taking skills that could help with tricky questions.

These short passages and text cards could be sent home so that parents could work with students on what types of passages and questions they will see on their state tests.
