My Project

This year, I am dedicated to making the learning experience more fun to help reinforce simple and complex lessons surrounding Financial Literacy. Whenever I teach our "Depository Institutions" Unit, I always ask my scholars who currently has a checking or savings account. The majority of the scholars in my classes have no knowledge or understanding of banking prior to learning. Several don't know the difference between a checking or savings account and aren't exposed to the content until taking my class.

While many have played the Monopoly game, Monopoly Banking will provide my scholars with a fun way to reinforce our banking unit.

Learning through fun often creates memorable experiences that my scholars will remember for a lifetime.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
