I teach an amazing group of 7 and 8-year old second graders whose levels of learning range from struggling to above average.
My students are creative and love hands-on and engaging activities that challenge them, especially ones that involve technology and Legos.
My goal as a teacher is to facilitate, motivate, and prepare my students for their futures. This year, I look forward to my students' successes and excitement as we begin to explore the world of computer science and coding.
Computer science is important for the 21st-century learner. Coding is an important skill that helps students acquire knowledge in the field of computer science. I believe it will allow them to explore coding in a exciting and meaningful way.
The WeDo Core Set is a hands-on activity that helps introduce learners to computational thinking and engineering principles in a fun way.
This set combines LEGO bricks, software, and standards-based projects using a discovery approach. The students will work with a group on their project. This will help prepare them for the challenges that they will encounter in their future.
