My Students

My school has an amazing mix of cultures that give a very global feel to our hallways and classrooms. Our learning community has a variety of learning levels and English proficiency levels throughout each classroom. We have dedicated, hardworking parents and community members who truly want success for each and every student.

Our students are innovative and creative individuals who are willing to think outside the box to show academic growth.

They approach challenges with a positive attitude and are continually supporting each other in their academic endeavors. Our students are respectful of each other's differences, and embrace the diversity around them.

My Project

This year has been stressful for students and teachers alike. Students are navigating multiple years in a pandemic and switching between virtual and in-person learning. More than ever, our students need activities and exercises that help ground our brains and bodies as we embark on this important academic work in our grade level.

These books and games will be used during our morning meeting time and during transitions to help students remain focused, center their hearts and brains, while learning how to cope with stressful situations.

These activities will be quick and easy for students to replicate when they encounter stressful situations themselves.
