Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our Wellness Center is a space where students can get their mental health needs met so they can better learn. We do this through check-ins, therapy, resources, and groups. Students can also make use of the space when they need a place to find peace.

I am trying to make the space more student friendly.

The supplies I requested would help make the space more enticing and affirming.

Our students always ask for snacks so some of this money would be used to buy snack boxes so they can focus on wellness.

The other supplies (clay, games, and fidget toys) I am requesting would be used to run activities and groups, including a LGBTQ+, self-care, and grief group.

Our students are amazing! They are kind and polite and they deserve to have a space that reflects their awesomeness. This project of revamping the center will encourage students to seek mental health support and create an environment where their needs are centered and celebrated!
