My Project
With the addition of new students this year and even more next year, we need to have a well-organized, labeled, and highly structured classroom. My students need to learn how to navigate their classroom and become independent in locating materials and books. With generous donations from kind benefactors, we will be able to teach independent learning skills, personal accountability, and maintain a consistent schedule that is so vital for my students.
Students with disabilities require consistency so they can begin to advocate for themselves, and with these organizational materials, they will be able to establish Learner Agency to become more confident, engaged, and effective in their classwork.
By creating a predictable schedule, maintaining an organized setting that will be child-friendly, and teaching students learner agency, my students will grow and become more independent in their learning.
