Well-Intentioned Wobble Chairs for Wondrous 1st Graders!
Help me give my students a set of wobble chairs (6) that can be used as a reward, a behavior management tool, and as a kinesthetic resource to help ADD/ADHD kids.

My Project
Little students are my favorite. Teaching first grade this year, I love the fact that I can spend the whole school day with the same students. It allows me to get to know each of them personally. In the short amount of time that I have known them, I've learned that several students struggle with anxiety. Other students are ADD/ADHD and it's a trial for them to focus in class. Each one of my students grapples with his/her own challenges.
Despite our challenges, we have created our own classroom community.
In building this community, I realize how important it is for my students to learn how to be accepting of each other and learn how to cope with the struggles they face each day.
These Wobble Chairs will be a great addition to my classroom because they'll help enhance student learning by allowing those students who need help focusing to be able to move about in their chairs without disturbing others. In addition, Wobble Chairs are a great incentive for those who struggle with following rules. Finally, these Wobble Chairs will be a great tool to calm those with anxiety and fear that need a coping mechanism.
