This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every week at my school, we enroll new students who come from many different countries including Brazil, Honduras, Venezuela, Syria, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Yemen, El Salvador, Peru, Mexico, and more. Often they come in need of basic school supplies like pencils and pens.

As one of the first teachers in the school to have contact with our new arrival students, I would like to present them with a pencil case full of essential school supplies including pencils, pens, a highlighter, a mini notebook, sticky notes, and a glue stick.

Having these supplies will facilitate the beginning of their academic journey in the USA.
