Help me give my students flexible seating, STEM building materials, educational games, sensory tools, and reading-themed décor to transform our library into a welcoming space where they can read, create, collaborate, and build meaningful connections.

My Project

My students are curious, resilient, and full of potential. As a Title I school serving a high-poverty community, many of our students benefit from opportunities to explore, create, and connect in a safe and welcoming environment. The media center is often one of their favorite places in the school because it provides access to books, technology, creativity, and community. I want to transform our library into a space where every child feels inspired to learn, collaborate, and belong.

These resources will help create a media center where students can read, build, play, and grow together.

LEGO bricks, magnetic tiles, building connectors, and STEM materials will encourage creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. Educational games such as UNO, Connect 4, Jenga, and Tic-Tac-Toe will help students develop social skills, communication, and strategic thinking. Kinetic sand will provide a calming sensory experience that supports focus and engagement for all learners.

My goal is to create a warm, student-centered space that feels like home. Cozy rugs, reading pillows, and beloved book character plushies will make the library inviting and comfortable, encouraging students to spend more time reading and exploring. These resources will help students build relationships, strengthen academic and social-emotional skills, and develop a lifelong love of learning. With your support, our media center can become a place where every student feels valued, capable, and excited to learn.
