My Project

We will welcome the first graders to a happy and kind environment! Everywhere the students look, they will be reminded that this is a safe and happy place to learn. We will organize our tables by having the organizational drawers requested for each of the 4 tables and we will engage in reading and math activities in small groups. Some of the activities are the reading and math dots that are requested. We will also have a “how do you feel?” chart for the students to check in when they arrive. During the day the students can also visit the calm down area to reset or take some time to get refocused. The items that will be used are the stretchy smiley figures, the squeeze balls and the emoji stickers will help motivate them during the day. I am changing schools and I am moving to first grade from third grade. So I am working on making this a happy place for them to start. I am hoping to receive these items ahead of time to be all set up for their arrival. Thank you for your generosity and support in advance! Looking forward to a successful 24-25 school year!
