Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Entering a new country can be difficult. Having access to food and a good book to read can be even more challenging. My "Welcome Home" project would help the new members of our community become better acquainted and comfortable.

Donations will benefit students who are new to our country and school by filling their bellies and placing a book in their hands.

Donations will help us fund a "Welcome Home" snack gift basket for the student and their families. Gifts will also benefit our new students in the classroom with English translated novels (from different languages) so that students can feel comfortable transitioning into reading English novels.
