Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 4th grade students are energetic and hard working. They love to learn and interact with their environment, using a hands-on approach to learning. This group of students comes from a wide variety of backgrounds ethnically, culturally and financially. The majority of our students are bilingual. This year being online so far we have 2 classes combined so there are many more students with all different abilities.
Over 80% of the students in our school receive free and reduced-price lunch and are from low economic backgrounds.
I strive to give them opportunities they might not otherwise experience.
Fourth grade can be a real turning point for learning and developing for many children. They are still "little kids," but they are growing up fast, so it is important to keep them excited and interested in learning.
My Project
We are all hoping to be back in our classrooms this coming school year... but there will be some changes. With everything else that is changing, worrying about a clean classroom is something we would like to not have to stress about!
Keeping the classroom clean and kids healthy is a huge priority!
We want all students to be back in the classroom and for all parents to feel comfortable with their children's safety. Kleenex, Lysol and Clorox are names we have all been using a lot, and hopefully, we will see those names being used all over our classroom this year!
