Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am working with a group of enthusiastic learners. At least 80% of my students come from low-income households; however, that does not stop their thirst for knowledge. Each day is another opportunity to provide them with educational delights.

Despite their home life, they still surprise me daily with in-depth discussions.

Their aspirations/goals for life after the high school run the spectrum.

These students are helping me become a better educator, but they are helping each other become better learners. Always making sure their classmates are focused and moving in the right direction.

My Project

With this project, students will have the opportunity to continue their learning at home. There have been some challenges here at our school when it comes to technology and because of this, students are not able to take devices home.

With this students are limited in their computer based homework and research projects that are presented to them each week.

Having these portable devices will allow them to complete homework and various research projects that are an extension of the lessons presented in class on a daily basis for growth.
