Help me give my students kits to learn about weather and how weather affects rocks.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Rao's classroom raised $181
This project is fully funded
My Project
We are currently learning about plate tectonics. Our next subject in science will be weather. More precisely, extreme weather, the effects on Earth and how plate tectonics have a major part in some of those extreme weather systems.
Our students are especially interested in earthquakes and how they could cause tsunamis.
Do humans and climate change have an impact on these events and weather patterns? While learning about systems and patterns, we will also learn how humans can make changes to help our planet.
Each student will research one type of extreme weather. They will create a slideshow presentation and include in it ways, if any, humans could have a positive impact in reducing these events.
More than half of students from low‑income households
