This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My request for white t-shirts and fabric paint markers is for my students to record their memories of their middle school years in a meaningful way. Having these supplies will allow my students to use their artistic skills, while at the same time create something they can cherish for years to come.

My 8th grade students will be moving on to high school and my goal for this project is for them to create and cherish their memories of middle school in an artistic way while having a culminating wearable piece of art.

What makes my students special is that they appreciate art and would just love the idea to have this opportunity to create something so meaningful and lasting.
