My students need a color, networked laser printer because our old one doesn't print without jamming.

My Students
My 7th and 8th grade students are an energetic bunch of teens who love to socialize and have fun. Our bustling middle school is located in a high-poverty, working-class neighborhood. More than half of our student body receives free or reduced-price lunch and speaks English as a second language.
You wouldn't know it from looking at them, but many have already experienced trauma or loss in their young lives.
After school, some kids go home to babysit younger siblings while others attend after-school care until 5 or 6 pm. For young teens, all of this responsibility at home can result in extra exuberance while at school. Although some of them have distractions that prevent them from focusing on academics, the majority of our students are aspiring scholars who are focused on going to college!
My Project
Our current classroom laser printer is broken. Every time we try to print, it jams! Students often need copies of grade reports, and I need to be able to print copies of their grades and assessment results when I have progress meetings with their families. Not having a working laser printer also means it's that much harder for me to print out graphic organizers, articles, and other content that I could turn into interesting lessons.
Without a working color laser printer, it's difficult to provide my students with challenging articles and assignments that will help prepare them for high school, which for most of them is just two months away!
