I love my students because they have all come to this brand new STEAM school in North Carolina! They all came from neighboring elementary schools in the same county to create our special community.
Our students are strong, creative musicians in our music classroom that have come from various walks and journeys of life!
Please help me give them an opportunity to have more musical instruments (ukuleles) in our brand new music classroom so they can become well-rounded students, as music education is highly important for the minds of students all around!
My Project
My students must keep up with the modern times of music education of today in elementary school. They need to capture the beauty of being artful in the music classroom early on before they get to the middle and high school levels. Many of my students have had a HUGE interest in learning the ukulele. The students would develop incredible hand-eye coordination, as well as a reinforcement of reading music, reading chord sheets, and ukulele tablature.
Ukuleles will allow the students to get a new beginning in their music classroom, as well as enhance their musical journeys.
Since this is a brand new school, the students have had a rough start with getting to know everyone and getting a new normal started, which will now be enhanced.
