Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 3rd-5th grade students attend a behavior program and most come from a low-income home. Many have had trauma which impact their social and emotional well being and see our behavior program as a safe haven fir them. Donating white t'shirts to our class to make shirts for out of class activities will help feel like a cohesive unit. This activity will give them something fun and creative to do as well as build their pride and self-esteem.
This act of kindness will make them feel seen, heard and valued.
