My Students

Children want to hear their favorite stories again and again! By hearing stories and following along in the book children gain skills to help them learn to read.

My kindergarteners love books and reading!

They want to hear their favorite books and rhymes again and again. All they need is the opportunity to hear their favorites over and over. The tape player we have is old, and is a pain for the children to operate.

My Project

I am hoping to get two CD players for my listening centers so that I can provide two areas where kids can listen to their favorite books on CD. Listening to stories help children with repetition, rhyming, work knowledge, tracking, listening, and many other skills.

This project is so important to a kindergarten classroom.

The most important component to learning to read is being read to. Many children come into kindergarten without having had this. It is so important that we give these children a great start.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
