My Students

It's math time and we are are ready to learn!! My students get this exciting feeling about math and and I would LOVE for this feeling to stay.

I look at what I do as a career.

My students are VERY important to me, because I have an interest in their welfare in and outside of the classroom. I want them to learn school does not end at third grade. I want them to be well prepared for a bigger transition, fourth grade and middle school! Math skills are needed and are essential to the students' development. Most of the focus these days are put into reading; which is equally important, but what about math?! It is my desire to create a desire for math! This desire should include many amounts of math resources that the students can use to reinforce what has been taught in the classroom. The students will need these items to study to survive third grade and to make it to the fourth grade.

My Project

I am asking for the following... *Counting Money Puzzles *Take It to Your Seat Math Centers *Place Value Instant Learning Center *Magna-Tiles *Help-Yourself Place Value & Geometry Centers *Time & Measurement Activity Station *Place Value Activity Station

Math is something that needs to be an on going learning process within my classroom.

The students will benefit from the additional activities that can be used to support what is taught and learned withing the classroom. We want to be "One-eyed, one-horned flyin' purple MATH eaters" who are "blowing MATH out, a'really knockin' em dead"!!!
