This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Incorporating standing cafe tables as flex seating options in the classroom provides students with choice in their learning environment while promoting movement, collaboration, and engagement. At these tables, students can choose to stand or use a tall stool, allowing them to change their posture and position throughout the day. This can help with concentration and engagement.

While some students enjoy sitting through the day, many of them require room to move around and change position.

This is the perfect solution!

These tables will also bring students together by allowing them to gather around the table in small groups for discussions, group projects, or peer collaboration.

As I have been adding more flex seating options and removing the traditional desk and chairs, I’ve noticed that some options such as the cafe table take up less space and allow for me to move more freely around the room. It also gives a modern look which students enjoy and appreciate. An appealing and inviting classroom which caters to our many various learning styles, is what I’m going for.
