My Project

As of right now, I have items that are in my class outside of school supplies for my students. I am an FSC teacher. My classroom is missing a visual schedule big enough for my students to read and understand. All my students experience a delay in learning, and visual learning cards and resources give them a better visual representation of what we are learning in class. Each of these items will help my students in class. Sensory tools are very important for learning in class. Sensory tools in the classroom are essential for supporting students' self-regulation, focus, and emotional needs, particularly for those with autism, ADHD, or sensory processing disorders. These tools, ranging from fidgets to noise-canceling headphones, help students manage overstimulation, reduce anxiety, and improve participation by allowing them to engage their senses. Most of my students are driven heavily by snacks for a reward system rather than toys and stickers. Not all parents provide snacks for their students. I would love to be able to provide for all my students' food sensory needs, especially for the students who do not eat lunch or pack home lunch. We would really appreciate these items in Mr. M's class.
