Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students often do not get outside their neighborhoods and they frequently get food from the local fast food restaurant, dollar store, and gas station quick mart. By watching and caring for plants from seed to flower, they will learn about the science behind growing plants and the natural sources of healthy products.

Our discussions will include how to protect plants in our natural environment and the difference between natural sources and processed materials and foods.

Writing topics will include being good stewards of our natural resources and advocates of a sustainable earth and originate in students’ learned appreciation of the care and knowledge that is needed to produce natural materials.
