We Need P.E. Equipment

My students need a variety of equipment for our Physical Education classes.

My Students

My students are energetic and enthusiastic about school and love to participate in physical education class. At Moundville Elementary School, we have over 600 students and I teach grades Pre-K through 5th grade. Each P.E. class lasts for 40 minutes.

My students are a very diverse group and over 60% of them receive reduce and/or free breakfast and lunch.

We are a school with very little funding, and the funding that we do receive does not always go the P.E. department.

My Project

I’m not going to beat around the bush…WE NEED P.E. EQUIPMENT. We need P.E. equipment that the students can use every day. We have some old and fair conditioned P.E. equipment but using athletic tape and super glue is only a temporary fix for these items and we seriously need to update our P.E. inventory.

Our students are bright and eager to participate but we are severely limited with our current equipment situation.

Some of our students do not get much activity time outside of P.E. in their daily lives so we need to ensure that they are getting quality time while in PE class. We need balls, cones, bean bags, hula hoops, and many other materials. If fully funded, this project will get our students started on the right path to a healthy lifestyle.
