This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third grade students are an energetic group of kids who enjoy learning! My third grade classroom is located within an urban school district and 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

My students are a mix of general education, special education, and English language learners.

My students learn best in our classroom community with opportunities to explore education in kinesthetic ways. I believe in a classroom that allows students to show their strengths through their creativity. We celebrate small and large successes!

My Project

I would like to add 3 additional wobble stools to add to our classroom environment as a flexible seating option. This is my first time considering flexible seating in my third grade classroom. In our classroom we take frequent movement breaks to help get out our wiggles so we can re-focus in between subjects.

The funding of this project would help give more of my students what they need, which is the subtle movement that these stools would allow my students to have while they are learning.

We have 3 stool coming into our classroom from my first funded project, but I feel like more of my students could benefit from the Lakeshore Wobble Stools.
