This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are almost done with their first year in Kindergarten. Next stop, First Grade! My students have made tremendous progress since September. I love my students because they have excelled in all areas including their height. The students I service are children who are diagnosed with Autism in a restrictive classroom environment (6:1:1). The students who I have serviced over the past year range from verbal to non-verbal. I couldn't be any prouder of the progress my students have made so far this academic school year.

My Project

The classic group work table would give my students the opportunity to be engaged in learning without being cramped, and on top of one another. The group work table would be the appropriate height for my students. The current table they have now is too tight and they have outgrown the table. When I sit the students down for group work, six students and three teacher assistants cannot fit at our old group work table.

The easy clean divider would allow me to create a space that will be less distracting for my students and encourage them to work independenlty.
