The choral department is filled with passionate students that love to sing and explore all the varieties of music. The purpose of our program is to provide a creative outlet for students to become inquisitive, independent, culturally aware, lifelong learners who are able to think critically and creatively.
Performing in a musical ensemble has the ability to transform lives.
I'm Mrs. Hallihan, the choral department director. Even now as my students continue to make school work during a pandemic, they strive to see the joy in every opportunity to create music. They have worked endlessly to learn and create beautiful music together. My students are the best part of my job and I'd like to find every approach to continue their arts education in a way that is safe and exhilarating. As we face the uncertainties of the future, I continue to explore various ideas to make that happen.
My Project
The choral department has used cheap black folders for years to hold and organize our student's music. Every year, a number of the folders are broken or go missing, which causes the department to spend money on replacing them. What Mrs. Hallihan would like are a class set of choral folders, that are durable, and designed to hold and organize music. These folders will also have "High School Choral Department" imprinted on the front to keep these items from being lost or stolen.
