This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My school is a Title I community school where majority of our kids come from low social economic background. Over 90% of our students are on free and reduced lunch. As money for extra curricular activities is scares from parents, class parties, field trip, or any other events usually fall on me as the teacher, the school, or sponsors in the community.
The students at my school are such humble students!
They are appreciative of every little thing that I or anyone does for them. This is what drives me to make sure that they have the best year while I am blessed to have them with me.
My Project
Since incorporating flexible seating in my classroom, my students need a place to store their materials where they can get to them quickly without losing any precious learning time. We have tried bins but since adding all of our workbooks and materials, my little helpers can barely pick their bins up. I know that this will be a great solution to our problem. This way my students also can have a place to call their own-which I know they will enjoy. Thank you so much for your help providing sunshine of organization with these awesome pockets to store our supplies.
