Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Since I teach Spanish as a foreign language students and Spanish native speakers all of my students are either learning a second language o They also all come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and a big percentage of them have developmental delays and have IEPs.

All of my ELD students are new-comers, and they try very hard to overcome the challenges of merging into a new culture and learning a new la.

They have never had any formal education in this country, and some of them haven't had on in their home country either. However, they have been doing a great job in my class, and they try their best to keep up with the work I am currently giving them online.

All of my students including the ones from my Spanish class struggle to keep up with the new norm of turning in everything digitally and trying to keep up with virtual instruction. However, most of them try their best to do what they need to do in order to be successful in my class. I also offer support through after school tutoring, and many of them come in and take advantage of the extra support because they genuinely want

My Project

These technology items will help me provide my online students with the quality education they deserve. The web cam and microphone will allow for a better online experience, and the printer will replace my broken one. I have great students who are eager to learn, and this will help a great deal! We thank anyone who could help us with that. I have volunteered to continue distance learning for students who can't attend school in person, and this can at times become a challenge, and this could improve our experience.
