Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have twenty-eight, third grade students who are ready to learn. What an exciting classroom it is for both the teacher and the students! The places my students can go are boundless.
My classroom includes students at all levels of learning.
Most of my students come from low-income homes. Many of them are English Language Learners who absorb words like sponges. They love both reading and math and are always up for a challenge. My students are always learning both in and outside the classroom. They are a hardworking bunch!
My Project
I love teaching my third graders! My students would read all day! My third graders love to read but unfortunately our classroom library needs more challenging books to keep their interest.
The books I am requesting are some of my students' favorite books such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Baby Mouse and Hank Zipper.
We sat on the carpet in the classroom library and brainstormed! We created a list of genres, books series and topics my students would like to read. Your donation will reinforce literacy skills as well as foster a love for reading. I want my students to literally relax and read!
Please help me fill my classroom library with wonderful third grade books for my students!
