Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are quite the engineers! They are a group of children that love to use their imaginations to make such great creations!

With the addition of some new building supplies, their building skills can advance even further.

With the use of different types of building supplies, students will be able to learn to create with logs, interlocking learning sets, building blocks, and block bars. With the tangram puzzles the students will be able to work more on their spacial sense and use of geometry skills to explore how shapes fit together to create an image. Hand2Mind task cards will give the students challenges to complete during their building time.

The story books about different builders will connect reading to our STEM projects and lead to writing activities based on our creations.

Included in our resources would also be places to help with the storage of our STEM materials such as the moveable utility cart and the desktop organizer boxes. Both will be labeled for ease of finding pieces to each each activity.
