My Students

My students are amazing individuals! They represent many different countries around the world, and most speak more than one language!

My students are inquisitive and creative- they look for ways to showcase their learning in ways "outside the box." My students are scientists- exploring the world around them within the constraints of our classroom.

My students are mathematicians- solving real-world problems to prepare them for life after college. My students are a community- together we are better helping, teaching, and praising each other. However, most of my students are also from low or no income households. Many get free or reduced-price lunches. Many come from homes where little to no English is spoken. Many are refugees from other countries.

All of these things make my class unique and a wonderful environment for learning!

My Project

Having iPads will benefit my students in several ways. Aside from the basic math fact practicing apps, the students will be able to engage and explore with their learning by creating products that show their learning.

This project will make a difference because with the technology-centered society we have created, it only makes sense to utilize these tools to enhance the learning of our students!

Students will collaborate to create presentations that show their mastery of content in both Math and Science. My students will create products that they can be proud of and share with their classmates and parents, alike!
