Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a low-income​ school with the most amazing students! My students are as diverse as they are intelligent. I have students who are new to our country, students who don't speak English at home, students who only speak English and students who are gifted and talented.

We are a classroom that celebrates our diversity and our differences.

The majority of my students are English Language Learners who have very little English support outside of school. My goal is to make every student successful in whatever they set their minds to.

My Project

My students are creative, imaginative and smart. They have found that can create anything they want with our classroom STEM items. When my students are given time to be kids and given the opportunity to learn through play they know that what they can make is limitless.

I want my students to know that they can be Engineers and Scientists.

Adding more Legos, which are the most popular item in our STEM area, wooden blocks and tinker toys will allow their creativity to explode. I want my students to know that the Imagineers at Disneyland built some of prototypes for the rides with Tinker Toys!

With the addition of all these new exciting STEM items, we need a place to store them.
