My Students
I work at a elementary school that provides education to students of low income families. A typical day in my classroom consists of students constantly being exposed to new knowledge. Some students are struggling in the area of math and reading. I want all my students to be performing at grade level
I am a kindergarten teacher.
My students are between the ages of 5 and 7 years old. They all have their own great personalities that always wow me. The students in my class are hilarious at times and eager to learn. Currently, some of my students are struggling in the areas of reading in math. I am focused on finding ways to help my students gain the skills necessary for success. The school that I work at serves grade levels from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade. My school also has over 600 students enrolled.
My Project
My students will use the math materials to count and represent numbers and understand the basic math concepts. We will use these selected materials in conjunction with the Florida state standards to create engaging activities that help my students learn. My goal is for my students to reach high levels of success and at least 90% of my class perform at or above grade levels.
It will make a difference in the lives of all of my students because these materials allow students to manipulate them to gain more knowledge.
These activities will help increase students' skill levels. These activities will also give students the visuals that will help them to connect to the learning experience.
