This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love using math games/manipulatives to introduce my mathematical lessons. Then, I place them in their individual math center. This enables them to explore and learn. I find that they are more engaged when I use hands-on activities during math lessons. They love to count using manipulatives. I want my students to practice numbers, and counting by using real objects.

I am so eager to see the smiles on my student's faces when they see all the wonderful items I have picked to go with our mathematics center.

These educational materials will help the students be more involved, and actively engaged when they practice numbers and counting. The students really enjoy using manipulatives and making connections to the real world. The main reason I would like to get these games/manipulatives is because I want to see my students developing math (numbers, counting, one-to-one correspondence) and fine motor skills.
