Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school consists of about 90% English language learners and a large portion of the students are on free/reduced lunch. My teaching day consist of teaching Integrated ELD in all subjects. We also have designated ELD for a minimum of 30 minutes a day. My team and I support our newcomers with the most support as we level students during designated ELD. Our focus is to teach reading, writing, listening, and speaking throughout the content. We team teach to help meet the needs of our English language population. Help me give our English language students new engaging books that will support their language acquisition. It will also help make learning fun! We read books and have class discussions about the books to help with language. These books will be a great asset for our students throughout the day. Thank you for helping supporting all of our students!
