Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I teach at a title one school in Orlando, Florida and this project is intended for all grade levels at my school! My school is home to 300 awesome students that are very hard working and love coming to school.

I want to provide quality books for our school's book vending machine, such as winners of the Coretta Scott King award.

The vending machine is free to the students and it is away for us to let them earn free books as a reward for a variety of good behaviors. They also get a book on their birthday and other events! The book collections requested will provide a variety of books that will motivate our students to make good behavior choices and read. Thank you for reading about my project.
