Your support has made a meaningful difference in the way our students learn, explore, and experience music.\r\n\r\nThe pool noodles have become an especially valuable part of our developmental curriculum for keeping a steady beat. Students in kindergarten and first grade may be able to tap a steady beat on their laps, but once they are given an object such as a mallet or boomwhacker, they often have difficulty maintaining that same steady beat. The pool noodles provide a wonderful stepping stone between using their hands and manipulating a musical instrument. Because they are lightweight and easy to grip, students are able to develop the coordination and motor skills needed to transfer the steady beat from their hands to an object.\r\n\r\nWe are also incredibly thankful for the egg shakers. Before your generous donation, we simply did not have enough egg shakers for every student. Now, each student is able to have their own shaker during music activities. This has made a big difference in student participation and allows every child to actively engage in our music-making experiences.\r\n\r\nThe older students especially love the added \"sound effect\" instruments in our collection. These instruments open the door to endless creativity as students experiment with different sounds and discover how they can enhance and contribute to the music we create together. \r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in my students and helping me create a richer, more engaging music experience.
