This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our dual-language school is working hard to prepare our students to be bilingual, biliterate, and mulitcultural. Half of the instruction is in Spanish and half is in English. We are located in an inner-city neighborhood surrounded by low-income housing.

Our parents, teachers, and community help make our school number one.

We pride ourselves in helping students from all ends of the academic spectrum. Our goal is to provide exposure outside of the classroom to cultures that make our world great.

My Project

Oh the places we will go in Pre-K. We use our imagination to explore the world and now we are headed to the farm. Learning about animals is one of our favorite topics to explore. Teaching kids about animals at this age is easier when we have hands-on activities to model caring for animals. Our classes need toy animals, Veterinarian kits, and animal books to learn how to love and care for all types of animals. In class, we will use dramatic play to create the sounds of animals. With the vet play sets, students will show us what they have learned about caring for animals.
