My students are from all over the globe. They stem from Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, Haiti, Philippines, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and the list goes on and on. Though some were born here in the U.S., they are descendants of the American dream and they are working hard to succeed in their future.
Along with the multicultural benefits, we have some learning needs, as well.
Some students have been diagnosed with ADHD, and I am also working with Autistic children and SLD students who are incorporated in my inclusive classroom. We all have to find ways to work together and it is my goal to make sure I am meeting every child's individual needs.
My Project
My students are an amazing bunch of energetic kiddos. During the day, they often need to stand, walk around, or move about while they learn. Some of my students have sensory disorders and have to put things in their mouth to stabilize themselves. That's where the chewable pencil toppers can help.
The stools and chair bands would be great with giving my students another way to sit and learn, while the bed risers give the flexibility to stand.
It isn't easy when you have the wiggles, but with some flexibility my students can and will feel more comfort in their classroom.
