Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a great group of first-grade students. This is an awesome school that is a STEAM academy. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Our students come from diverse backgrounds here in the Las Vegas Valley. Despite their varied backgrounds all of my students have the potential to do great things. I'm hoping that by providing them with fun hands-on experiences that they will grow and mature into students that are ready to learn all they can in the future.

My Project

Our students are busy bees buzzing through many activities throughout the day. Many times it is difficult for little ones to remain in a seat the entire day. Having Lakeshore's Flex-Space Wobble Stools will allow our classrooms to incorporate flexible seating options into instructional time. Students will be able to self-regulate and choose a wobble stool if they are having a hard time sitting still or focusing on a task.

Studies show that flexible seating has a positive impact on student attentiveness.

This is especially true for kinesthetic learners. We hope that you will help our students "Move It, Move It!"
