My Students

I have a group of 24 energetic second graders. Our school is located in a small town but our students love to learn and love to come to school! Our school is a primary school, which means we have students starting at 3K until 2nd grade. We have a school with a loving faculty and are passionate about helping our students. The passion of our faculty reflects so strongly in our students. We are a school with passionate students who have big hearts! My second graders love to read and love to learn. Majority of my class comes from a low income home and face many challenges at home. Despite their home lives they always come in with a smile and ready to learn. They are an extremely sweet and loving group of students. I strive everyday to instill a love for learning in each of them and help to create critical thinkers and problem solvers.

My Project

We do a lot of learning in our classroom and like to break up our day with fun brain breaks. These brain breaks activate kids bodies and brains. The use of brain breaks in the classroom have shown to boost productivity, improve behavior and build a classroom community. By having a subscription to GoNoodle Plus, I have the option of incorporating academics into those videos as well! I will also have the option to customize games and add my own questions to assess the progress of my students. This subscription will allow my kids to get up and move while also working on academic skills!

The document camera will help promote collaboration in our classroom by giving the students the opportunity to share their work and books with their classmates by projecting it on our smart board.
