I teach 25 second graders in a small, rural town. My class is filled with beautiful, bright smiles that thrive on learning. They are a very energetic and active bunch that fill every day with exciting adventures in learning. I have a wide range of achievement levels in my classroom. However, each student brings something special to the classroom and tries their best each day. My school is a sweet school that is truly one of a kind. Everyone is so excited and supportive in all student learning. We follow a discipline plan called Conscious Discipline. This program teaches students through self regulation and problem solving. The program focuses on building relationships with students through implementing routines and procedures that make the students feel comfortable in the classroom each day.
