My amazing students are in grades K-1 and attend school in a large, urban school district. All of my students have Individual Learning Plans, and all have been diagnosed with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. These disorders may include ADHD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, and/or anxiety disorders. All of my students are significantly below grade level with their academic skills and are working hard to get caught up and be successful!
Students in my classroom come to school so excited to learn and get caught up on their academic and school social skills.
Often, they have had difficulty in their previous classroom settings. This program provides an opportunity for these young students to have a successful and positive school experience to get them on track for an amazing career of learning and growing. Help us make a difference for these students, please!
My Project
My students are so eager and excited to learn, and this happens best when their senses are engaged! The early language centers provide hands-on objects for students to use that develop reading skills.
My students with sensory issues love to touch, move, and manipulate learning tools, and that’s when pure magic happens for them!
My students particularly love to work with water, and all of these learning tools are designed to be used in a sensory table to really excite student engagement. I can’t wait for them to use the floating bubble alphabet letters! So much fun while learning to read! The materials I am requesting also provide activities for a wide range of learning needs for students with a wide range of disabilities in our class. Help me support every single student to succeed!
