My school is SO AWESOME and has many books which reflect the cultural diversity of our students. My students are so excited and motivated to read these books, but most students have reading skills below their grade level. I have read the books to students many times and they LOVE them. I have also looked everywhere for CDs or other recordings of these books so students can listen to them whenever they would like. However, I have had NO LUCK in finding audible recording support that goes with our books. I am creating this project to purchase two Amazon Fire e-readers for kids. I will records myself reading all of the books my kids love and upload them to the e-readers so students may listen to the books being read anytime they want. It's so exciting to see my kids completely revved up and falling in love with books! Help me keep the momentum going by helping us with e-readers so kids can enjoy the stories that reflect their lives and experiences.
